Woman

Woman

A Poem by Cole Hayley

Woman

We wrote songs for them
And my first sonnet was
Scribed into their skin,
Women -
With the vintage jeans
And septum rings
With flower crowns
And quiet home towns
Woman -
When it comes to just one,
And not the broader whole,
I cant write anything,
Not even a poem

Oh, but you did...you did. I liked this very much. I'm not a poet, and sometimes struggle with the more esoteric writings, but this is straight up... and you laid it down perfectly.
