You Are A Very Tiny Big ThingA Poem by Cole Hayley
You will find teeth in your sheets For the next few days.
Urgency morphed into this -- A tiny army attacking itself, The yelping and moaning Onslaught of rabbits, caving Light, the fixture-less suspension Of passion.
Limits were set, then met.
With a head huge and enlarging At the minute, and the next minute You are obvious and visible, still At the sight of you all sight fails This retina buckles and bends inward See now! See now! All what has Been said " weight drawn from a place Of complete weightlessness
With a new thought, and a retread of Another; you string along my glance Like a streamer; a disaster of confetti Cupped in your hands " thrown, twirling And retiring on the surface of this Overstretched goodbye. Why here? Should it Have been better used somewhere else? Ideals lacing trees in the forest we built.
With a display of poetics, perhaps, I could Earn the emotion already expended -- Oh, how urgent I flew into this: An emptying nothing with an entrance Like a Vegas casino " hungered lips Twitching with a swaying, horny body Kill me, curtsey, I could still forgive Go ahead, form the Phalanx and take charge.
Pillow my head, There is a will to be dead.
