I Could Live Without It.

I Could Live Without It.

A Poem by Cole Hayley

I could live without it.
Eyes would still function
Without seeing it.

I want it new
Even when its old, even
When years have gone through
Us both; skin sags as life wanes
However " we still impress,
Undress.

I never want sunset
To steal it's colour, and
Sunset would try.

I want it honest,
Even when we are not, even
If a dent proves human, a
Gross and tired form that
We forgot " it is outlived,
Overlooked.

I never want space
To be distance,

I want it completely,
To welcome each peak, even
Those that dip to dark, nosing
empty air and flirting with an
Emptier reach " it is noticed,
Accepted

But, mostly

I want it mad,
I want it reamed to show
The inner-workings, the
Entirety of feeling cased
In glass " passionate,
Dazzling.

I could not live without it.
