Love Poem

Love Poem

A Poem by Cole Hayley
"

- For national poetry day.

"

The rummaging of space for time

Though likelihood dull, stops not the quest

Search this receptacle, north, south, east, and west

If none, ask me for mine

Undone triathlon, the heart-race over

Contract that well know failure, a leave of us

As simple as leafs lost at fall, each one moving dusk

A minute and minute lower

Wintered and withered, this life gloved

By snow both here and gone, and still to come

We are, and were, like everything -- all here and all from

We have, and have not, felt loved.
