Perennial RoseA Poem by Cole HayleyPerennial Rose: Perennial rose, won't you lie in the cavity of the universe? Substance of blissful order -- this open crater between the ossein of starlight. Finite in its bent, the unrivalled soul of its creator. Perennial rose, split the pedals into plates. Feeding the hungry with visions of god. We will be thimble in this ironed cloth maxim. -- thy blessed apotheosis. Perennial rose, paint the seisms with benevolence. This nature of man that is no less an enigma in its framework. Chaotic shuffles of futures, this flesh-full of body. The flashing core of lost prominence Perennial rose, the distance you have unfurled. Strife-blown stem strayed on the backbone of a abrupt gust. O, your pure echoism. Earth flow bounded by the silence of its parable. Hands branch out to you, Perennial Rose. Six months of night follows, follows, follows six months of light traveling round and round and round and round again. Crystalloid treadmill, un-polished in the night sky. Recede your twine, and tie my legs. Perennial rose, all I want is something to love. To hold. If a rose is a rose is a rose, where is the truth in all I've been told? © 2012 Cole HayleyAuthor's Note
