And Everything That Will Be

And Everything That Will Be

A Poem by Cole Hayley
"

I won't let you fall apart.

"

And Everything That Will Be.

Stained with the clamour of this age-old daunted muse

we lie in the echoes of the celestial capsizing moon,

underneath the ripples of the parting billow.

Our rusted hairline slips down past our contorted spine

and flows into the corruption of this rocky loam.

We wait for the empyrean funeral to levigate us into pieces

and filter our bodies through the overlooking  pageantry oasis.

But it never did come to that.

Cursed to be the children of an imperial beauty

we will never live up to our sacred allure or tedious prospect.

Instead we will whisper secrets into the magnetic horizon's ear

filling it with tiny excuses for everything that once was.

The orders of desultory chance that brought us here is staggering.

I cannot calculate the delicacy of this artistry bloom

and I also cannot immerse myself into its captivating womb.

But it will never come to that.

I like how you use the language. Using the language to create vision and thoughts. Life is a great mystery. Hard to know what will happen tomorrow. Good music and outstanding poetry. Thank you.

As complex as you write, it always holds such inherent truths and has intensity in its content. Sometimes people just string contrived words together and you are left questioning your intellectual ability. With you that never happens because your imagery is spectacular !!!

Amazing, imagery is over the top! This is beautifully written but the only way one can truly appreciate your words, is to go through it line by line with a dictionary. You are an old soul, Cole.

Sometimes my life feels like the matrix, as if some of the things that come out of my mouth are being said by someone else in charge, and i look back and think, why the hell did I just say that? or why did I just do that? That's not who i am, it's as if I have an alien conductor manning the speeding train and I keep applying the brakes but they only squeal and do nothing to slow the crash and burn. That is what this poem feels like to me, and as always, you are captivating.

We are seldom alone in what we do, certainly not in the experience of this huge creative endeavor. Something you don't yet see knows what you do and will, when the time is right bring to your endeavors the right and fitting completion of your efforts.

Your perceptiveness of your situation is admirable. But you need to finish it.
