Things Falling Apart In Little Tiny Pieces

Take a breath between every compression

Try to be as immaculate as possible in every twitch

Don't let her slip away..

I left the love of my life at the front door

Along with the desolation that litters my clean floor

The memory of you sticks to this room like perfume.

We use to run these halls in fast motion

Blurring the fabrics off our bereaved retrospection.

All while we were smiling and laughing

Levitation is possible when you know somebody like you

I never wanted to sink back down through the bed.

We use to fall asleep in slow motion

Holding each other while time fell backwards

All while we were looking into plastic dreams.

I don't understand the politics of what wen't wrong

I just know you took one to many convulsions

You managed to tear the wall frames apart.

Without you I've been reduced to a poignant painting

Addicted to scratching my arms and rubbing my eyes

All while I live in our precious outtakes

Why did I have to be just a few minutes late?

Don't fall asleep and choke on your own vomit baby,

Please just don't fall asleep..

The imagery in this is outstanding! I am a little speechless, which rarely happens, trust me! In the sixth line, no apostrophe in "went". The seventh stanza is beyond great! Thanks for sharing!

Wow Cole. Very well written as always. Your description was to the T. I would recommend rereading back through,, there are a few grammitical errors. Other than that. Superb! ^_^

Excellent write so many great lines you managed to tear the wall frames apart.you depicted the destruction of drugs so well and how seductive it all is.

This is fantastic. I absolutely loved it. The only thing I'd change (just a suggestion) in the second stanza, change it from 'sticks to this room like perfume' to 'sticks to this room like your perfume'. Idk, I thought it'd be a nice touch :) great poem!

Drugs have a way of causing more pain in the end than the joys they pretend to dish out

I don't know enough about drug addiction to comment...

A very desperate feel of emotion in this poem. Description made the struggle come to life.
"I don't understand the politics of what wen't wrong
I just know you took one to many convulsions
You managed to tear the wall frames apart. "
The strong made this poem complete. Thank you for sharing the excellent poem.
