Offering

Offering

A Poem by Coldwind

Tears

And great gulps of tendering breath.

Resist!  Resist!

Like Christians in the lion's den

Fight till bone, sinew, and blood

Show the materpiece of my willpower.

And in a mass of twisted flesh

Hands dripping black

My heart.

Torn from its caged nest.

I have failed

It still beats for you.

Incredible, powerful, and beautiful. Well described, and expressed.

That is something that lays us all low. Well described. Kudos.
