A Poem by Coldwind

I didn't come this far

To back down now

But of all the things I have fought for in my life

This one seems so shallow and wasted now.

It looks as though

I've been on the wrong side all these years.

Like a Nazi

Who discovered that his uncle was a Rabbi

I guess nothing is as it frist appears.

We all have our dirty little secrets

And we hold them close

Like lovers in our beds.

It's funny

How the things we hold so close

Are the things that we most dread.
