A Summers Slip Into A Falls EmbraceA Poem by ColdfireA contest submission hopefully it will be worth readingWith every glimmer of hope often there is despair. We knew that evening apon the beach would be that final chapter to a summers fractured love story.
We spoke of a time when winters pass would bring a springs reprise. And in desperate plans I aw a end of no remorse or reason. It was a moment a time capsule in thought often I would reflect.
The tide was moving out as tommorow so would we. A summers job gone the fruit of this labor a seed for tommorows well intended dreams.
It was a summers death and my hearts first scar of memory. maybe we would catch a glimpse of that summers watercolor but the brush stroke of life would have changed us beyond that which we understood now.
As we laid togather that night bodies togather a tangle of last plessure. I stayed awake to smell the oceans farewell and recall the drug known to few as happiness.
It was asummers passing and like fruit ripe from the vine we were cast to the harsh truths of the cold earth left to rot in a slow regression called time. In life were all victims of love ,Pain, And season. © 2011 Coldfire |
