Wasted Love

Wasted Love

A Poem by Das Madchen

And why does he
who broke your heart
still rules you out?
But isn't he the one,
the sole reason
of all the despair?
Wasn't it not love,
just plain madness
Years pass by, and
when it's almost
half the decade
Memories nevertheless
turn not hazy
Of his love ridden face,
and that look so facile
The heart might want
what it wants
But what becomes
of the love that
brings on only pain
And all the while
the dreams weaved
all go in vain
Only if what was unprecedented
was all foreseen
But how would you
ever know of love
if it wasn't for him

Sometimes we can't understand how we keep loving the person who brought us unhappiness instead of joy in our days ...

That's so true.
Sometimes unforeseen things catch us off guard indeed. Sweet becomes sour. Love becomes hate. Great job!
