The day awakens,

exploding slowly

as the dawn approaches.

Have they seen the way it glows?

Long into day

and late into the afternoon

it clings, awaiting the end.

 

One day it will come

and sweep all this away

into the next.

Will I be ready for this moment?

Will my regret linger with me

on the journey?
