Heart Hidden With My Sleeve

Heart Hidden With My Sleeve

A Poem by Vertigo Cat1111

Sleeves are a safety blanket
Something so tightly wrapped around me
A hood where I can hide
Drooping sleeves
Where my heart finally doesn’t have to be
Underneath it all, they say I’m a stick
They say my emotions are to high and I’m too obvious
But they don’t know the half of it

And that is true for many, they really don't know the half of it. Those who think they know me, don't and those who do, never really will. I like your take on this. I like your poetry period. There is truth mixed within your words asking the reader to find it. Nicely done.

A melancholic scene of hiding your innermost feelings in your sleeve, where it lies until these feeling tell you it's okay to be free....and nobody understands the sadness one feels especially if you hide it....
well done, nicely written... Takes you in...
