Rotting oranges
Fermentation in my brain
And bugs in my heart
Sickly yellow and pale blue
The savor of salt
And the lies
Plastic medicine and fruit flies
And no one asked why
I could’ve died
And I don’t want to go any further
It’s such a trigger
A renegade is involved
And my head is my own puzzle to solve
They’re not quite as worried
I guess that makes sense
I’ve always been scared, always been phobic
It’s just one of those things
With a sad sting
I like the proffered wordage here. The content is certainly dispiriting, perhaps even despairing. It's one of those things that make you want to clap a friend on the back and say, There, there, it's going to be okay, when you've no idea of whether it will be okay or not. At any rate, it was a good read and I don't wish to set off any triggers. Those blasted "renegades" seem to wreak a bit of havoc in everyone's life at one point or another.

Thank you so, so much. I appreciate your kind in depth review more than I can say. (:
Such a description of rot and the erosion of anything left of origin. There is no hiding when you write like this and its for the better. Well done. Brave writing.

I really appreciate this comment. Thank you so much. (:
I know many of us have triggers that set us off believing we are sick whether it's true or not... we feel like rotting souls, heads spinning with pain, body aches, etc....yet some believe and assist, and others think we are crazy....I love the line" my head is my own puzzle to solve".... how true... in fact our pain comes from the brain... all the stings and burns and out of sink feelings. .. We all think of death when we believe or are truly ill....If you think you're ill then you are! very sad, but great writing!
Best, B
