small passage... powerful meaning! This makes me think of being together forever, specially the last two lines
" If we swelter
I’ll melt with you" which makes me think that they melt together into one soul, one being, together forever, through good and bad, hot and cold! Interesting passage, opened to interpretation! Thanks for sharing!

These words would make for a great wedding vow, it's very sweet and feels emotionally honest. A few words that ring a hollowed core.

Interpreting as a wedding vow inspired me to a copycat poem. I hope you feel that imitation is the highest form of flattery because admiration is my only intent.

a short, meaningful poem that the reader can interpret in so many ways...I won't tell you everything, but if it's important, I'll tell you; then the more sensual part arrives... in fact, I do love you... "I will melt with you"... two very distinct thoughts I believe..... First, I'm not sure I trust you, then I love you....

I think what the speaker would tell is ...."I love you"
then the melt would be complete.

I love short poems that allow a reader to venture...
and as the Ventures once played in their hit "Walk, don't run"
that is what we must do when we step into poetry.
