Did you forget me?
Did you mean to protect me?
Cause when the the explosion broke through to the gas station
Glass shattered and you
You just used your brains
And drove all the way back to the bunker
You got lucky
And I was meant to be this ugly

How does it sound
When my hearts pounding
When you’re spinning me around
I can feel it now
It’s making me sick to my stomach
It’s just too much all over again
You’re a canvas
A dizzy fairy friend

I’ll give you any t shirt
I love it when your hairs wet
Paris and beads dripping down your slender neck
You made it out of curtains
And don’t forget
Monsters always find a way to sniff out your scent

I’ll fizzle out like a fiddle
Crayons wash away
In warm, soapy bath water

We’ll make it together
Swinging through the weather vane treasures
My veins reach out
Connect yours and mine forever
Just the same

Keep in mind
We’re one of a kind

Let’s get those aliens
And go the right way
Even when it’s my fault
You still pull me from the asphalt

I’ll always be your dog
Waiting endlessly on your rug

When I feel you inside
But still need you
Are you gonna be there?

We're really monsters, one of a kind; you hurt me, but somehow I melt with your crazy beads and shirt. Whose fault is it? It may be mine but don't forget we're one one of a kind. This poem shows me that one partner is dependent on the other, no matter how evil he is. You speak of aliens perhaps trying to trap you. She will always be by your side, like a dog sits by his master. She will wait for him. she feels she is to blame. A semi-dark scene, but this is life for many. Well done!

'I'll always be your dog
Waiting endlessly on your rug'

I was intrigued by these lines. Made me think that it doesn't matter what this guy gets up to, he is still needed and wanted. IT is a personal write so I am rather lost and wondering whether he is really worth it. Not sure about the rubber ducky reference but made me think of my two year old grandson, who has got a set of six bright yellow ones and won't go in the bath unless they keep him company. This seems to be directed at a specific event, perhaps topical, that's out of my scope of reason to fathom. I like the way it is constructed and could grasp certain concepts and statements within but a few eluded me. Who knew a rubber ducky could be so complex?!? (smile) I can only picture Ernie from Sesame Street singing his song about his. (laughing) I enjoyed the read, nonetheless, and I apologize for my lack of understanding on this one. I'm generally a bit more informed. It's a bit after 7 in the AM here. I've been up since 5 getting ready for our school day. Preparation, preparation...it's so much of my life. Bless, F.

Difficult to pick through as it is such a personal piece but worth it. Some of the concepts and layers here really hit home. I will return to diect the rest. But what I have seen I like.
