There seems to be a lot of self conflict here about whether or not your love should stay, Your heart and moods pulling him toward you, yet you keep telling him he can leave.... this is so typical of love spats and grumbles, but eventually two can come together to solve these seemingly impossible spats.... but moods change in the hopes that true emotions will keep the tryst going forever. Lovely.

This was beautiful and romantic. I love the opening lines but the entirety is so moving. It speaks of an unselfish love putting the happiness of another even above the desire to continue the relationship. I've always said love is hard work, responsibility and sacrifice. You don't hear many folks saying, Man, I'd sure like to "fall in" some hard work, responsibility and sacrifice though. (laughing) Likewise I think the greatest (measure) of love is sacrifice. The love that gives up nothing is worth nothing. We sacrifice for everyone we love. This poem gently hints at that philosophy. I think everyone is a bit crazy but the trick to having a successful relationship is finding just the right level of craziness one can tolerate without driving the other person nuts. I enjoyed the read. F.

Your first verse hit me! You wrote some of my similar expressions in some of my poems. You my dear write from your very heart and mind, with honesty to your own self. here what I feel is the push and pull, the love, ready at times and not ready at another. not all may understand behind your lines but I think I get it. sometime we push people not because we hate them but because we love them greatly, knowing we need to do some work on ourselves or be on a healing journey (vice versa) so we let them out because we care, and we will open our arms to them when the work is done. again your songwriting ability is shown here.
