I miss writing and posting some poetry, and even though LA Devotee is my main passion, next to getting people to read my Cancel Culture piece and sending Shane as much support as they can, I'll be posting poetry a bit more!

This is very clever, and so true....been in those kinds of relationships....
I see her in everything I do, everything that I say or is said to me...every thought conjured up
has her reflection.
I don't understand no reviews on this one yet...there is so little reviewing going on here except by the same writers...

I liked how you expressed your rareness of not being plugged into the media. I like your thoughts here. You have an original form to your poetry. I liked it. I am brand new and new to reviewing and writing so bear with me.
I love how you developed this poem. Its like a crescendo; and at the end you show us how consumed you are with your love; that what you call "normal" is not there; but, in my opinion passion can be all consuming, and you release the real funky world and are "all into" the spirit of of unity with another.
Nice work

Ah, yes, Love's Distraction. We can peel everything else away, and it's what's left. Bravo, Colacat!
Being new to the Cafe, I wasn't aware of you, but missed your poetry nonetheless! :) Keep it up!
Your newest Fan,
Dylan

Thank you so, so much! I hope you have a great time at Writer's Cafe, and have a wonderful day!
Wow, reading this Colacat reminded me of my first marriage. Everything was about him. I had no hobbies. He was everything. All I can say is that second time round, it was different. I still don't watch much TV, but there are plenty of other things I am in to on a big way. He features too, but he isn't the only thing I am in to :))

I guess we all have our own hobbies to see us through our idle moments, so it's perfectly fine to not be a sheep following the flock and following the status quo of current pop culture. True individuals will always follow what they love and stand out from the crowd.....and sometimes that thing is a person. I think if we invested more time in the people we love our lives will be a richer experience. A great title and a highly original idea, Colacat. 💛

Ah you are fine without the pop culture snd too much social media and hopefully she would read this lovely appealing poem and many people wish their partner find them as entertaining so she ought to be charmed . Kudos!

this is a great poem. i reminds me of when i hear a song the girl i like recommended, all i can think about is how she reacts to the song. i could see the facial expressions of the person you talked about in the poem.
