This is so true to so many...keep searching and searching and never find. But, one day, the darkness and pain will lift and daylight will endure. I just wrote something about lingering in an abyss, darkness, emptiness...and when the daylight came I was able
to leave this blackness!!! Coincidental! Great poem!
Best, Betty

This poem brings to mind the spirit of the book/movie: "He's just not that into you." This narrator seems to be waiting around without much encouragement coming. Lots of people do this (so you describe reality vividly), but I would advise that a year is enuf time to invest in a bad investment (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Thank you so much! I'm so happy you understood and enjoyed it.
To lose a love, rips our peaceful places.
Our sweet joys, ooze out, washing away our sensibilities.
We are abandoned, without hope, to suffer alone.
Have we enough thread, to weave a new heart?
Are we certain we want one?

A year is a long time to wait for a sign. It would create weariness. I feel that in your lines. You want some sunlight, some warmth. Sunflowers always make me feel better. Nice little write Colacat.

Thank you so much! I really appreciate your review and your kind words as always
What an example of synchronicity: you speak of a year since something has been lost, and I have been going through the same experience. Thus, I can very much relate to this poem. The feelings are described quite accurately.
