A Poem by Vertigo Cat1111
"

For anyone who's ever lost someone, in any way.

"
Why don't you talk to me again?
Tell me everything will be alright
I don't want to live anymore with patient grace
I'm begging for dawn's new sign
I can't sleep anymore
But when I drift I hear your fading words
Telling me what will one day be mine
It's been over a year, since I've been searching for the daylight I don't think I'll ever find.

This is so true to so many...keep searching and searching and never find. But, one day, the darkness and pain will lift and daylight will endure. I just wrote something about lingering in an abyss, darkness, emptiness...and when the daylight came I was able
to leave this blackness!!! Coincidental! Great poem!

Waiting and being patient in many aspects of life aren’t my strong suit and this poem has a bit of longing and sorrow mixed in.

Thank you so much for the kind review! I absolutely despise being patient too, it's the worst!

Wonderful words again!

"It's been over a year, since I've been searching for the daylight I don't think I'll ever find."

I can totally relate to this line. You think it´s gotta get better soon...time has passed...and it is still the same pain as in the beginning. I like to share Silmaras view that time heals all wounds but sometimes I wonder if this is always true. Some losses are quite harder to accept than others. I guess not looking back is the best cure but easier said than done... Really enjoyed reading your poem!

Most of us at some point in our lives have lost someone, and with that said I have truly learned that time, time is the best medicine in God´s pharmacy. Wonderful the honesty of your words in this poem, full of feelings and the sadness for the silent treatment, but believe, eventually we do find the daylight and all the light that we set our hearts to find!!!
Stay happy!

The title of this magnificently written poem is golden-crown poetry, meaning your title crowns the body of your poem and rules over the meaning. I like the strong feeling of longing in this write. tyfs
