Morning Dawn

Morning Dawn

A Poem by Meagan Reynolds

The dawn sets
in the above trees,
the light slowly
escaping through the branches.
As the sun washes over
the pavement, the temperature slowly
rises to a peak of 76. My eyes
flutter left and right, left, in the
direction of bird song, and right,
in the direction of a humming car,
speeding along it's way. The rush of wind
from the passing car sweeps over me.
