Spaces

Spaces

A Poem by Cognitive Facade

I love to pack so much into my spaces
I layout the day before me with a checklist
- Jog
- Brunch with her
- Uni
- Lunch with them
- Study
- Dance all night
- Repeat

Cramming in outdoor adventures
Packing passes and festivals into my weekends
Dining and wining on every Melbourne corner
Volunteering in the spare hours of the week
because YOLO

The truth is that I've got FOMO

Sometimes it takes over and I forget where and who I am
Lost in the
Because you see
It's the spaces in life where light gets in

Glinting around the edge of pauses

Spreading slowly through mouse holes in my busy armour

Illuminating my mind as it slowly clears

Gracing my skin as I stop to watch the storm

Filling my heart as I just. Let. It. Beat.
