A Year Ago (Today, Tomorrow, Yesterday)

Just some thoughts on today. April Fools is not my favorite day heh.

 A year ago, yesterday

The happiest I’d ever been

But alas, unprepared

For a future unforeseen

 

A year ago, today

In stricken disbelief

I watched the end begin again

But had no time for grief

 

A year ago, tomorrow

It all became too real

And I was driven to my knees

By the loss that I could feel

 

And now, whence a year

I ponder where I’ve come

Since the day my happy dreams

Swiftly came undone

 

Along the broken path

Of which I made my way

I only seek to find the bliss

Of a year ago, yesterday

 

And a year from now, today

I wonder where I’ll be

My only hope, keep moving on

And learn from all I’ve seen

Two says come to mind after reading this:
Time heals all wounds. And...
Time doesn't heal a thing. There is just longer breaks between crying spells.
I hope the first is true. My experience, thus far, has only shown me the latter.
