Buying Back TimeA Poem by CoffeeInfusedI work every day Another slave to the grind Trying to save the money To buy back all my time
How much for the memories How much for the years That have gone and passed me by Full of hope and tears
Can I somehow regain What I wasted in the past And put it toward the future Try to make it last
How much for the dreams How much for the days Where I took the other path And meandered the wrong way
What would be the cost To buy back my mistakes To try and make things right No matter what it takes
Even if I could, would I Spend them any wiser Or simply hoard them all Like a chronographic miser © 2014 CoffeeInfusedReviews
