The Last (For You)

The Last (For You)

A Poem by CoffeeInfused
"

Turning a page in Life

"

You were never mine

I now accept

I’m glad you found

Your happiness

I lay my weary

Heart to rest

And wish you both

Only the best

I hope your bond

Holds long and true

With all the love

Two hearts imbue

For with this,

I now am through

Let this be the last

I ever write for you

Let this be the last

I ever write for you.

Love the simplistic nature of the words and lines. Yet the emotion along with the depth and breadth of the situation is striking. A sadness thoroughly expressed with fine writing.

Heartbreaking, simple and yet so rich in emotion.
