Why I DrinkA Poem by CoffeeInfusedThe bottom of a bottle Has a solace, I have found With ability to loose the strings That love so tightly wound
Turn up the glass, knock it back And search forevermore For that genie in a mason jar That reaches to my core
To pluck from me my heart And all its treachery That turns me to the past With tortured memory
I drink to lose myself To hide myself from pain And to chase away emotion Until just a shell remains © 2013 CoffeeInfused |
