Neverwas

Neverwas

A Poem by CoffeeInfused
"

This may be rewritten, I had the original idea at work, and unfortunately forgot most of it, I hate when that happens. This is trying to recapture that, but I feel like it could be better

"

The land of Neverwas

With its Nowhere King

A place of Once-Weres

And Might-Have-Beens

A land of broken

And hopeful dreams

It lies just beyond the horizon

Just over the next hill

Were you can visit

Coulda-Woulda-Shoulda-beens

Talk awhile, stop and see

And escape, for just a bit

From reality

Stay a time, but do not stray

From the path you see

Lest you get lost or led astray

Or find complacency

Become another flight of fancy

Another dream for all to see

In the land of Neverwas
