Do You Lie Alone

Do You Lie Alone

A Poem by CoffeeInfused

Do you lie alone

On your satin sheets?

So you lay there in the dark

And dream a little dream of me?

Is that my scent on your pillow

Or just a memory?

Or is it another’s

Someone else

A passing lover

Taken in your arms

To keep your heart

Undercover

When I dream

I still dream of you

It may be weak, but

I promise that it’s true

And still, somewhere

A tiny spark of hope

Every now and then

I hope you think of me too

I still love you,

So I set you free

The hardest thing

I’ve ever done

Is turn, then wait to see-

Perhaps you’ll come back

If it was meant to be
