Love (is dual)

Love (is dual)

A Poem by CoffeeInfused

Love is dual
Both blessing and curse
For the ones we love most
Often hurt us the worst

The cruelest drug
From high to withdrawal
It'll lift you up
And make you crawl

But ah, alas
We still want more
Nevermind the ending
Lying in store

Forget the outcome
Bliss or heartache
Love with your all
Abandon the stakes

Every moment is precious
Every memory sublime
Kept and remembered
For now, for all time

Even the pain
Sweet, stinging blade
Even in time
That too, shall fade

An easy read with quite a bit of truth infused in the lines. Not sure if it fades or we just realize we can't linger in the abyss. Nice penning.
