Sometimes I Still Think of You

Sometimes I Still Think of You

A Poem by CoffeeInfused
"

Another song, though at least I've got about half the music for this one worked out

"

Sometimes i still think of you

It's kinda like an old war wound

Just a little twinge now and then

Then I'll put away your memory

Leave you how you wanna be

And not fall into old habits again

I don't curse your name and pace the halls

Have conversations with the walls

Or wait around for you to call anymore

And i hope you've been happy too

Since the day you said we're through

Cause I've moved on

Still going strong

Lookin' for where i belong

But sometimes i still think of you

It's kinda like a healing wound

It only hurts every now and then

And I'll put away your memory

Seal it up under lock and key

Stay away from my old ways again

I don't break down when i hear your name

And I'm not scared to see your face

I'll just say hey and keep on my way

But sometimes i still think of you

It's kinda like a gaping wound

But I'm ok, yeah

I'm just fine

I'll stitch it up

And move down the line

Let my feet just make their way

Heading toward a better day, yeah

Headed toward my better days
