Found A Lighter

Found a lighter lying in the elementary school playground today.

 

Picked it up. Tried it out. Still had plenty of fluid.

 

Briefly I wondered what would have happened had I not come along to find it.

 

Images of a small child running around with all of his clothes blazing on fire came to mind. Moving frantically, appealing to other kids his age for help, but every time he grabs one of them by the collar to draw hir near the other kid bursts into flames, too.

 

And then we have a pack of flaming kids running around--maybe some of them try to stop drop and roll on the woodchips, but they catch fire as well. Soon, every kid on the playground is on fire, running around, into the school, setting fire to that too, which spreads through the entire town...

 

Oh the humanity.

 

 

I guess when all is said and done, I saved the children from a grisly fate by picking up the lighter.
