Dare I Say

Dare I Say

A Poem by Boantlers

I look upon her sunshine soaked face

Knowing she loves me and trusts me to care right

No fear or fright I jump to give her all that I might
Looking in her eyes I wonder on so many whys
Like, why is it when this life of light is right for her,
Did I find her where I did
Unwise or selfish acts against her interest
Pimps business of disregard
How can any of it be justified as right
A smile doesn't signify health, and that is
a lesson we must learn
Does no one else hear her yearn
Burning on a stage
Spot lights illuminating her flesh
Shaking her body parts on command like a circus animal
Or the trick of a pet
Now we must come to see
Bred in to her to do what it was she had done to me
I hate the fact I walked where I did
But I love the fact she knows the real me
Dare I say I was destined too
Given peace in Ruby's whispers of belief from day one
Now a sweetheart feathers whats done right
She claims
"Roses love sunshine"
and I know she is tall with might

Caring for each other just because we can

We want to, we should

Loving like two naturally would
Putting her before me
Rewarded by seeing her glow
I never say I love you in a mundane habit made puppet show
The three words that broke
Renewed I say it, and when I can make it show
I love you,
I love you,
I love you
Yeah, she already knows
