Horn Blows

Horn Blows

A Poem by Boantlers

So I may seem a little intrusive
Yet I was welcomed

So, back and fourth this rolls between us; so far endlessly
I don't want to feel like your game anymore

In the midst of mist and hard work I found her
I have two tickets for the train leaving soon we must catch

Sun kissed in this glen down in the valley, stayed until moonlit and fused
We will show our grandchildren the pictures of us climbing trees as youngsters; the bird house and feeder we built, the art we made together when we were still feeling our way around, trying to read the map before we had found the key

So, I may seem a little intrusive
Yet we love you so

So, back and fourth this rolls between us, souls soldiering in infinity
I feel this partnership strengthen

In the midst of this clearing fog on a spring morning we sit at the station
We hear the horn of the locomotive blow

My anticipation and excitement
Your smiles and butterflies

"Sun kissed in this glen down in the valley, stayed until moonlit and fused" Did you mean to say moonlight? It makes sense as it is, but that just came to my mind when I read it...out loud...because all your poems need to be read out loud.
I liked this one a lot. (I say that sentence a lot). Okay, rephrase: I think this poem is fantastic. There, I've never said THAT before. This is going in my library. More people should know about your poems. You're like the underdog, except we're not competing in anything. I really liked your use of alliteration in this one. It added so much to the poem and how...well...poetic it is. Midst of mist, souls soldiering, it was just so overwhelming how good this one was. Okay, I also say Good Job a lot, so...you did a nifty job. Keep at it.
