Author's Note

So I was scrolling down through my Facebook news feed this morning when I stumbled across a video posted by FOX News (If you are anything like me you loath FOX News and for good reason). The video was about ISIS and how they are "terrorizing Christianity". I'm not here to take away from anything or anybody and I do understand that what ISIS doing is horrible (although Mr. Phil Robertson of 'Duck Dynasty' suggested that we should force them to convert to Christianity or kill them...I'm not sure how that would make us any better than them though). However, when Rev. Graham (yes, a relative to Billy Graham) took to the screen, I just about lost it. He kept saying that "this is the end of days" and "these are our final hours!" So that inspired me to write this quick little witty poem (I guess you could call it a poem).

I hope you all like it. And please keep in mind that this is nothing more than my opinion. We all have them.

And one final thing, I am the king of sarcasm ;)

That seems to be the bent of ISIS - convert or kill. We removed Sadam and Osama only to make room for this. I did laugh at the poem. FOX news is pretty ridiculous - but they are also incredibly successful because humans seem to be willing to eat garbage, so to speak.
I do believe things are finite. But I don't have the key to wind God's giant clock - so I just do what I do and hope I get what I'm supposed to do done before He calls "TIME"

A radio commentator I tuned to described Russia's invasion of Ukraine as the start of the third world war. It appears to me that the recent content of public media is contorted with individual concerns ... made to sound like one man's truth is the truth of the world. Its the media that's losing it buddy. Hang in there!

Other than the "convert them or kill them" line the fake hillbilly wasn't that far off the mark. A large, well funded, privately held army running amok in the middle east has the potential to be a major world problem faster than you can say "How much do the Chechens want for those old Russian nuclear payload missiles they stole?" As much as I hate seeing the US militarily involved in that region of the world yet again there's little other options with this. If ISIS enemies, which seems to be everybody besides them, are well supplied to fight and NATO airstrikes do sufficient damage to ISIS supply lines and command centers the best case scenario is a badly bludgeoned and bloodied ISIS limping back to Syria to focus their efforts on the overthrowing Assad. So far as the "end of days" crappola goes religious crackpots have been yelling "the end is near" since before the beginning even started. Screw them and screw faux news. Those a******s spew nothing but irresponsible wing nut bullshit to keep their xenophobic gullible viewers tuned in. That's not news, it's yellow journalism. It amazes me how many people can't see through the fog of fox bullshit they churn out.

Thanks for reading BR. I agree, there's not many more options left. The problem I have with FOX News is that they are not really much of a news channel at all. It's propaganda used to place the Republican party and the Tea Party on a pedestal. And I suppose your right, religious nuts shouting "the end is near" have been there since the beginning. I can think of one old man in particular that has been shouting that since the 1970s...the most recent was 2012.
