Kongo

Kongo

A Poem by Cody

Travel deep into the farthest parts,
in the heart of darkness beats the darkest hearts.
The thickest thicket's the hardest to chart,
the jungle breeds life and death in equal parts.

Survive or die, alive and dead divide like night and day.
No room for flight it's fight or pray,
prey or predator all are competitors.
Compete for food -or not to be, you eat or feed.

Arteries of the earth, tributaries diverge
and split from the main like a slit vein.
Bifurcates then flows back again to re-merge.
All pour forth from the source; lakes and rivers and rain.
