Your Cold Eyes

A Chapter by CoconutSprinkles08

Your Cold Eyes

Verse 1:

I remember laying in the meadow with you,

Autumn leaves, falling slowly around us.

Your cold eyes watch a ladybug

As I wonder how to escape this hole I've dug,

Inside of us.

Chorus:

If I fall,

Promise you'll be there to catch me.

If I let this pain grow,

Will you still love me tomorrow?

If you change your mind,

Our hands will still be intertwined.

When you leave,

Leave me,

With a heart that still believes in love.

Verse 2:

I remember walking under the stars with you,

Holding on, wondering what I should do.

Your cold eyes watch the road ahead

As I wonder where our road ends...

Am I too late?

Chorus:

If I fall,

Promise you'll be there to catch me.

If I let this pain grow,

Will you still love me tomorrow?

If you change your mind,

Our hands will still be intertwined.

When you leave,

Leave me,

With a heart that still believes in love.

Bridge:

Autumn turns to Winter,

Our time slips away.

Your hand falls out of mine.

I cry,

Forever without you.

You eyes lose their shine,

And our hourglass shatters.

I'm dying,

Over and over....

I don't want to believe,

You won't be there to hold me.

Chorus:

If I fall,

Promise you'll be there to catch me.

If I let this pain grow,

Will you still love me tomorrow?

If you change your mind,

Our hands will still be intertwined.

When you leave,

Leave me

With a heart that still believes in love.

All of these thing I wanted for us

Burn into forgotten memories,

Locked away for centries,

While I wait for another you.

But everyday,

I remember that shine....

My face,

Fading from your cold eyes.
