Bogdonavitch

Bogdonavitch

A Poem by Judas Hammer
"

Standing on top of Bogdonavitch park in San Pedro wishing I could escape.....

"

Bogdonavitch

I stood at the top

Only the Sun was higher

There were a few scattered souls,

Milling about

But my main companion was emptiness

The sea surrounded me

The harbor to the left

The Pacific to the right

The Sunbeams my spotlight

For I feel like a thespian, in a one man tragedy

I stretch my arms out wide,

To touch the wind

Hoping maybe I could fly

Maybe, I could have hugged a cloud and

Said hi to Jesus

I dropped my head again,

Peering at the LA harbor

The cranes didn’t know my existence

The harbor seemed like a wide, vast moat

Maybe-if I get a running start

I could have jumped my way to freedom.

Damn. The imagery was no joke.
This was some deep, seriously heavy thought.
It would make an excellent black and white indie short film.
