Smiling

Smiling

A Poem by Judas Hammer
"

Sometime I just show my teeth but I'm not smiling....

"

Smiling

The smiles hide

The anger echoing

In my shell

Like a bull horn to my ear

Destructive thoughts ravage my brain

Everything becomes too quick

Everything becomes too heavy

Every thought is like a razor blade

I wish I could stop myself

From:

 thinking

Breathing

smiling

teeth can represent many more emotions than just smiling. I like the repetition and the pace here. I can relate; I smile and laugh at everything, and I can't help it. But I'm hardly ever happy. And sometimes the world is too heavy and we just want to stop it all, but we can't. we can just hide behind a row of pearly white lies... well penned Judas.

I think behind every smile hides a story. Great write, I enjoyed reading it, I could relate to it.

We hide many different emotions with a smile for sometimes it is simpler to smile. I think many people and relate to this. Biting your tongue sucks sometimes. It is hard to keep your composure when you are that angry inside.

Wow, we all know how this feels. I think you last lines say it best, "I wish I could stop myself/from:/thinking/breathing/smiling" We want to stop thinking about the bad thing thats upsetting us so and just let it go but we can't. Sometimes we do want to stop breathing but even more than that we want to stop smiling and pretending that we're ok but we're not. Great poem, I love the way you expressed these feelings. Amazing job!
