Filter or Cage?A Poem by Cobblestone TravelerJust thoughtsOh the expressions of the souls we love to deplore They make haste to voice their thoughts, their bias Their unbridled jealousy, their possessive makeup Tainted temperament spilling out to absorb regard And yet- Those of us cursed with sickeningly sweet self-suppression Riddled with similar thoughts, the same embedded faults But driven by careful character and meddling morality We choose not to act, we dare not to vocalize vexations Here's to us in our shell stew, stroking decade-long restraint Eyeing, at times, the glimmer in the compiled humanity At least they have an outlet
