The Sick Dimension

The Sick Dimension

A Poem by Cobblestone Traveler
"

Where do we go when we slip out of our minds?

"
I'm suddenly not strong anymore
Brambles, stifling and overgrown
Gasping, grasping, the ground opens up
I'm dragged into the vast unknown

Vines vanish and eyes open
Enveloped in midnight-blue eternity
Grid lines and formulas embedded in white
Deafening silence, harrowing uncertainty

This strange universe denies my matter
Lost in the void, the chaos sets in
I'm floating, yet I'm also confined
Craving release but bound in my skin

"enveloped in midnight-blue eternity" is such a great line...
sometimes we feel so much uncertainty in who we are, we do want to jump out of our skin and be someone else...free ourselves from us.

Thank you so much. I appreciate you stopping by!
It is a scary reality, when past strength - or achievements we achieved in our stride - suddenly requires considerable effort.......

Maybe our souls suns set during life too.....and with patience, they rise again...:)

Delightful poetry.....
