The Prism That We AreA Poem by Cobblestone TravelerYou can be best friends with someone and also have a deeper connection that transcends platonic love.I catch you unaware And clutch you from behind My head rests on your back Lilac. You laugh and lean into me
Your warmth floods my soul Amber. Our friendship is a hybrid Of rose and sunflower Exotic yet gentle Yellow. You finally turn around I look up into your eyes They pierce and lock me down Sapphire. We give into the silence The world goes out of focus You draw out a hot shiver Crimson. I'm woven into you I would give you anything You could request the stars Gold. And now I've lost my breath My every muscle tense Exploding in liquid rapture Silver. You break your weighted gaze The sound returns to my ears We resume our walk Green. We walk along the river Never having to explain For our moment floats on Clear. © 2016 Cobblestone TravelerAuthor's Note
