Addiction in Denial

Just an observation

The drink keeps her warm
It calms her mind and soothes the restless soul in her head
Too much though and her mouth becomes disconnected from her brain
Saying things no one understands, spouting hurtful, empty hearted insults
She begins to tip and sway but being off balance does not shutter the mouth, only makes it louder
Starts to argue and bring pain back to old scars that belong to you and belong in the past
It feels like it goes on forever but the bottle is finally empty and she lays there on the carpet drooling
Just as it started quiet it ends the same
Bottle in hand, naked , no shame nor memory of the night before
You still love her though and cant get enough no matter how hard you try
