Remembering YouA Poem by Angela SparksA poem for those lost to the grimy hands of death that we choose to remember and cherish.
Lives touched,
Lives lost, Never the same, When loved are gone. Gaps are empty, Heart are hurt, Hearts stop beating, Bodies under dirt. Smiles- not for weeks, Laughter turns to cries, All those effected, They hurt inside. Two hundred and six bones, Yet all feel broken. Lungs seem to quit working, Words are left unspoken. The air turns heavy, Everyone wearing a blanket of dispair, All wishing the same thing, That those lost were here. But even with torn hearts, Memories stay the same, It might be how they made you laugh, Or how they got their way, It might be their smile, Or how they were so untamed, But no matter what, They'll be remembered day by day, Our love for them flourishing, As they're wrapped in eternal grace. © 2016 Angela SparksAuthor's Note
