The CenterA Poem by Angela Sparks
In need of simple resolution
In need of retribution, Shattered and tormented, Why hasn't it ended? Contraction of the mind and soul, It continues to fold, Soon it will be nonexistent, But even now I resist it. I want it only a small foul bit, Part of me has given in, But the other sees a larger picture, There is a reason the hearts the center Our mind though brilliant, And our heart sometimes rampant, It's the center in which you should trust, It knows your feelings like it knows your blood. It helps us through our problems, Even helps solve them, It works day and night, Make sure our bodies never die. It's the simple resolution, It's our confusing retribution, And we've had it all along, In the center of trillions of atoms. © 2016 Angela SparksAuthor's Note
