HappinessA Poem by Angela Sparks
I cry In the inside
With no tears falling from my eyes A smile upon my lips Fake is what it is You'd think I'd learned my lesson Through all the counselling sessions But no progress ever shows I just tell them what they want to be told The memories they haunt me The past it taunts me Always so present A tragic story and I've already read it Could you show me a love story? Preferably something boring. It seems action isn't for me And scary just isn't my thing Let me read of happiness, and live it too I don't want Cinderella and her perfect shoe I don't want Prince to save me or yell to a tower I just don't want my past to have all the power Give me happiness, it's all i want Cause it seems pain is all I've got. © 2016 Angela SparksAuthor's Note
