Life Continues

Losing myself to insanity;
Hearing everyone scream.
It's a world of profanity;
Unsure of what role I play will be.

Lost in nothing but confusion;
My mind in its own dark waters.
My heart and soul in ruins;
Being the broken daughter.

Not sure of what to do;
Can I be saved?
Sometimes I doubt it's true.
And because life is this way;

It's death for which I yearn;
As life continues to crash and burn.

I'm glad. Poetry is something people should be able to think about and take in different ways. One of the great beauties of it. No, death is not sweet, but sometimes it seems better then what's going on. :)

Hard topic my friend. I have a niece who want to meet me. Her father killed himself with her in belly. A beautiful girl left with emptiness. You can't live for yourself. We must find reason and purpose. I'm old and tire. But Grandchildren need a babysitter and kids need support. I must hang around. Poetry should create sadness, joy or thoughts.

Very true. But things that happen like that are usually spontaneous and rash. I'm sorry for your niece though. I'm sure you can help keep the emptiness seemingly full. :)
