You

You

A Poem by CLM

Do you make yourself cry
until the tears no longer flow
like the river beneath your feet
You feel surrounded
but your mind is empty
Like the trees
that are now exposed
from the brisk air
You take yourself
down the same trail
just to escape
But what are you escaping
when your mind is revisiting
the same places
The same path
The same thoughts
The same you

Honest and direct thoughts and words in the poetry. Most of us like to relearn tears and sadness. Self-torture. I liked the complete poem. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry.

Well structured. Well written. Introspective story that was a pleasure to read and think about afterward
