Remedy to Insanity

Remedy to Insanity

A Poem by Alex Caballero

It is though I have been dreaming, for a long time now.
Dreaming so softly, so peacefully from the depths of my own delusional opulence.
And then jerked awake by the veins of reality.
How could I bare leaving my sanity.
I lost it in my dream, a dream far away from reality.
How could I be so foolish, how could life be so cruel.
What is reality rather than a realization that its doesn't get better.
How must I escape the mixed insanity of reality?
The answer is so bold, but so righteous.
Of course, the answer must be love.
Love so crazy, love so embracing.
Love is the only orthodox escape from reality.
Love is something only you can provide me.
Like air to an infants first breath.
A sudden miracle, that is only the start of many.
A cry and whimper, that starts deep from a hard heart.
Needs love to soften the soul and mind.
I breath love in, there is no injection.
The bloods in these veins thrive and circulate on the love of you.
