White Bride

White Bride

A Poem by Mason Rayburn

She smiles at me
When no one else will.
A smile so radiant
It has no equal.
She lights up a room
With only her presence.
The joy she brings me
Is unparalleled in essence.
I wish I could touch
But know I shall never.
For her
I want it to be happily ever after.
This is impossible
If she chooses me.
Uncertain I am
About my eternity.
I love her so much
And so it must be.
That I give her to a man
More deserving than me.
With tear-filled eyes
I wave goodbye
To the girl I longed to have
As my lovely white bride.
