Poem for PapaA Poem by ClyoI wrote this poem for my late father. Writing this poem was quite therapeutic.
I saw you suffer, I saw you in pain.
You fought the battle Mr. C had given. The world heard our cry so did the rain. You had your last breathe, my hero had fallen. I wanted you to stay. For a moment a miracle, I did pray. Please not my hero, my rock. Please not my papa, not now. Lately, I understand. God must have heard your silent cry, You don't need to fear. You have lived your journey well anyway. You were strong, you were my rock If only heaven is near I would knock I would see you, I would tell you For being my father, I am thankful. You die but your memory is still here. You are now an angel not just my rock You are now in heaven my father dear And I am sure God is happy seeing you there.
